2026 Carrot Festival Royalty Competition
The Holtville Chamber of Commerce will be accepting applications for the 2027 Carrot Festival Royalty Competition beginning October 1st 2026.
This competition is open to all young ladies attending Imperial Valley Schools, Kindergarten through 12th grade.
The Competition consists of 3 parts, for a total of 100 possible points:
- Ticket sales (50% of the total score) In comparison to other candidate’s ticket sales.
- Speech Competition (25% of the total score)
- Live Interview (25% of total score)
Each contestant will also receive 25% of their total ticket sales revenue in the form of a check, UPON COMPLETION OF THE COMPETITION if contestants do not complete the competition, they forfeit their 25%.
This competition is designed to engage young contestants by providing them with life skills, public speaking and giving them the opportunity to make lasting friendships, provide confidence through self-awareness and reward for hard work.
We are encouraging all young ladies from Imperial Valley to participate. Applications will be available online or in person at the Chamber office. The deadline to register will be 4pm on December 11th, 2026. Tickets will be distributed as soon as registration is confirmed.
Candidates must reside and attend schools in Imperial County and maintain over a 2.0 GPA.
The categories are:
Carrot Queen: 9th – 12th Grade
Carrot Princess: 5th – 8th Grade
Carrot Jr. Princess: K – 4th Grade
